Brunswick, GA-In the first of four nights of racing at Golden Isles Speedway Park it was Nick Hoffman who threw the first punch, leading the final 17 laps of a 30 lap feature to capture the first ever win in the Southeast Dirt Modified Series.
Hoffman would vault from his third place starting position right off the start overtaking Brian Shaw to move into second. After an early race restart Hoffman would take the lead on lap 13 after battling with Jason Beaulieu of Campbell River, British Colombia. Hoffman would hold off Beaulieu and withstand a late race restart to earn the win. Beaulieu would finish in second while LocalRaceChat.com quick qualifier Rich Michael Jr would finish third. Derrick Ramey & Jacob Hawkins would round out the top-five.
In Heat Race action it was Michael, Hoffman & Beaulieu would would claim wins in their respective heat races.
The Southeast Dirt Modifed Series will be in action again on Thursday with a $2,000 to win main event scheduled at Golden Isles Motorsports Park.
