Speed51’s Summer Thunder TV presented by PFC Brakes is a non-stop source of action for short track racing fans, providing more than 70 live event broadcasts during the summer months for premium member of the Speed51 Network. That is especially true this weekend, with five live broadcasts scheduled for Saturday, June 29.
For the dirt racing fans, the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series makes its first-ever trip to Lake View Motor Speedway (SC). Defending champion Zack Mitchell leads the series points standings going into the event in a season where eight different drivers have won eight ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series events. Will we see the first two-time winner or will a new driver make it nine for nine?
There will also be plenty of asphalt Late Model racing available for fans this weekend on the Speed51 Network. In the southeast, the Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville (TN) Pro Late Models will take on the famed oval after last week’s rainout.
Meanwhile, in Anderson, Indiana, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Models will tackle Anderson Speedway for high-intensity short track racing on the high-banked quarter-mile. The series is making its first trip back to Anderson since 2016, ending a two-year hiatus.
There will also be Super Late Model racing in the Midwest, with the ARCA Midwest Tour visiting Rockford Speedway (IL) for the Kar-Korner All-Star 100. Headliners for that race include Milwaukee Mile winner Austin Nason, five-time Snowball Derby winner Rich Bickle, Jr., a pair of Kulwicki Driver Development Program finalists in Paul Shafer, Jr. and Carson Kvapil and more.
Summer Thunder TV will also go west this weekend, with a live broadcast of the Spears SRL Southwest Tour at Kern County Raceway Park (CA). The event will feature a two-segment format, and the driver with the best combined overall finished from the two 50-lap segments will be declared the event winner.
Being able to watch all of this short track racing is easy. The Summer Thunder TV series is available to all premium of the Speed51 Network. For just $9.99 a month or $79.99 for a full year (12 months), fans can enjoy the entire Summer Thunder TV schedule, along with on-demand highlights, recaps, on-board videos and more from the biggest events in short track racing.
