Winchester, IN (September 3, 2015)-Daniel Hemric and Dalton Sargeant will pilot Wauters Motorsports ARCA CRA Super Series cars at Winchester Speedway this weekend as part of the final test and tune before the famed Winchester 400 in October.
The Wauters’ team hopes to bring Hemric or Sargeant to victory lane in the CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Winchester 100 Monday, September 7, 2015 on the famed high-banked asphalt ½ mile oval in Winchester, Indiana. Hemric posted a fifth place finish in the Winchester 400 in 2013 and the team and drivers hope to use this weekend as practice for the main event October 11, 2015.
“We are pretty excited to have both Daniel (Hemric) and Dalton (Sargeant) back in the CRA Super Series cars for this weekend,” team owner, Richie Wauters said. “Both drivers are spectacular racers but will face some stiff competition for the Winchester 400 in October. The track itself is intimidating with the high banks and the speed these cars carry. We felt it would be a great idea to give them seat-time on the world’s fastest ½-mile speedway this weekend. The guys at the shop have been working hard on both the cars and we really hope to pull off a 1-2 finish Monday.”
On-track action for the ARCA/CRA Super Series kicks off on Sunday, September 6 at 10:20 a.m. ET with the first of two practice sessions for the Super Late Models. The Super Series will qualify later that afternoon at 3 p.m. ET. Feature racing is scheduled to begin on Monday at 1 p.m. ET. The ARCA/CRA Super Series 100-lap event will be the second feature of the day.
