Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Hannah Bell turned a lot of heads at the Myrtle Beach 250 last Saturday at Myrtle Beach Speedway, where she made her first start in a full-size stock car during the South East Limited Late Models Series event.
Bell finished 11th out of 28 competitors piloting a late model out of the Lee Faulk Racing and Developmentstable. She accomplished more than that though, also inking a full limited late model race contract with Lee Faulk Racing for the 2018 season. Mc
“I learned a bunch this past weekend about how to handle the car … having a spotter was my favorite part,” Bell said. “Lee (Faulk) knows exactly what to say and how to keep me up on the wheel and keep me calm. It’s obviously very different from my legends car, but a lot more fun.
“To be able to learn and compete with such a professional and experienced race team is very exciting for me and means so much to me. I have a lot to learn about full body race cars. It’s a totally different experience from the legends cars that I’m coming out of. There is no other team that can provide me with all the tools to make this happen. I am also grateful for Lee and Michael allowing me to be apart of their program.”
Michael Faulk, who is the operations manager for Lee Faulk Racing, said Bell impressed the team during testing this season.
“Hannah has a lot of talent and is so easy to coach,” he said. “She takes feedback and applies it each and every time she gets on the track. We are excited to have her for a full season next year.”
McCallister Precision Marketing Founder Tonya McCallister is equally excited to begin working with Bell.
“Hannah is an extraordinary young lady and has the drive and determination to be successful,” she said. “I am super impressed with her on and off the track.”
The feeling is mutual for Bell.
“To be working with Tonya and everyone at MPM is going to be great,” she said. “I can’t wait to see the marketing aspect of racing and trying to get my name out there. I can’t wait to learn more about it.”
