WALPOLE, N.H. – Coming off the First Annual New England Short Track Showdown at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the stars of the Granite State Pro Stock Series are headed for the second of two stops at the three-eighth mile oval Lee USA Speedway this week.

The Lee event will take place this coming Friday night, July 7, with a 100 lap feature event slated to go last in the feature lineup as part of the weekly track schedule. This event will mark the halfway point of the 2017 season for the GSPSS, with only six races remaining on the calendar following Friday night.

The Seacoast 100 will be worth $2,000 for the driver that visits Victory Lane at the end of the night. In the first stop there back on April 30, Jeremy Davis dominated the rain-shortened race, which was the opener on the season. Davis beat Bryan Kruczek and Joe Squeglia in the final circuits.

Entries for Friday night’s race at Lee include series regulars Devin O’Connell, Mike O’Sullivan, Cory Casagrande and defending champion Barry Gray. Derek Griffith, the 2015 series champion, has also filed an entry for the 100-lap feature coming off a tough outing at NHMS last weekend.

Outsiders expected to compete on Friday night include Steve Pailler, Tyler Fiscus, Ryan Green and Jeremy Harclerode, among others. Heading into the race, Mike O’Sullivan leads the point standings by eight points over Cory Casagrande. Scott MacMichael is third, with Barry Gray and Nick Lascuola rounding out the top five.

This event is a one-day show, with practice, qualifying and the 100-lap feature all scheduled for Friday night. The Lee USA Speedway Pure Stocks, Ironman, Hobby Stocks, N.E. Classic Lites, Late Model Sportsman and Super Modifieds will all be in action, making for a full card of racing.

“This is the first year we have had two events at Lee USA Speedway in our history,” series president Mike Parks said. “We have always had great events there. Lee is in what I consider the Pro Stock country and we are proud to be a part of it. We can’t thank Red and Judy MacDonald enough for working with us to get a second event.”

Tickets into the grandstands are just $20 for adults, with kids 12 and under free into the stands. A pass into the pit area for those without a license will be $35.
