Mooresville, NC – As a result of post event inspection following the Dominion Raceway event on March 25th; the engine of Jeff Oakley’s #11 Chevrolet Late Model Stock machine has been deemed illegal by CARS Tour rulebook standards. As a result, Oakley will be disqualified as winner of the second duel race and Jared Fryar has been declared the winner. The triumph is Fryar’s first ever CARS Tour win, joining Layne Riggs as a fellow first time series winner after his victory in the first duel race Saturday afternoon.
A disqualification of Oakley’s 3rd place finish in first duel race will also be enforced along with an undisclosed fine and loss of championship points.
Fryar from Trinity, North Carolina captures the victory in just his third ever CARS Tour start. One of those starts came a season ago behind the wheel of a Super Late Model, before making the switch to Late Model Stocks in 2017 driving for Larry Coleman.
The CARS Tour returns to action next at Orange County Speedway on Saturday April 22nd in Rougemont, North Carolina. Complete event information on the Orange Blossom 300 pres. by The Grilling Store will be available in the coming days at www.carsracingtour.com.
