Friendship Returns to FASTRAK Sanctioning for 2020

Carnesville, GA – Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, NC will return as FASTRAK Weekly Sanctioned in 2020. Drivers at the 4/10-mile oval will be eligible for the $10,000 to win FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship, taking their best 15 finishes throughout the year.

 

“Having Friendship Motor Speedway back with the FASTRAK family is great for 2020,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “A lot of the drivers reached out over the offseason wanting to bring FASTRAK back to Friendship.”

 

The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance is set to race at Friendship Motor Speedway on April 11th and July 11th, with both events paying $2,000 to win and $250 to start. Friendship Motor Speedway is slated as the tour’s opening night for 2020.

 

“This is a great facility to kick off our 2020 campaign,” continued Irvine, “Mike Gatton and John Page have done a tremendous job since taking over at Friendship in the second half of 2019.

 

Friendship Motor Speedway has an open practice scheduled for March 7th with opening slated for March 21st. Drivers are encouraged to submit their FASTRAK membership applications as soon as possible so that their points will count when the season begins. Points do not count until membership is received by FASTRAK and no points will be backdated.
