Four Racers Disqualified Thursday at Snowball Derby

Two winners on Thursday night at the 52ndAnnual Snowball Derby presented by BJ’s Wholesale Club at Five Flags Speedway (FL) saw their victories overturned during technical inspection, with four drivers disqualified in two classes on the evening.

Jarrett Parker inherited the win in Thursday night’s Pro Trucks after the top three finishers failed post-race technical inspection.  In addition, Jerry Goff, Jr. is now credited with the win in the Lloyd’s Glass Pure Stocks after Mike Moody failed technical inspection.

Cody Haskins led all 50 laps of the event to take the checkered flag.  However, he and second-place finisher Grant Thompson failed technical inspection with engine violations related to the heads, per technical director Ricky Brooks.  Third-place finisher Donnie Hamrac failed technical inspection due to a left side weight violation.

Moody’s violation was also an engine violation, related to the pistons.

These three infractions elevated fourth-place finisher Jarrett Parker to the top spot, giving the Molino, Florida native two wins during Derby week with the Pro Truck over the past four years.  Kody Brusso is now credited with second place, with Joshua Hicks rounding out the updated podium.

While the first night of feature racing is in the books, there is still plenty of excitement to see first-hand at Five Flags Speedway as part of the Snowball Derby.
