Four different track champions from 2020 are expected to chase the weekend double in Florida and Alabama. Chris Davidson (Five Flags), Christopher Tullis (Montgomery), Dylan Fetcho (Nashville) and Brandon Brilliant (Crisp) will all be on hand to chase after two checkered flags in the Southeast.
Chris Davidson won last year’s Allen Turner PLM championship off the heels of his first-career win at Five Flags in the opener last June. Along with that win, he also added two top-five runs in the Twin-75’s in July. His season is already off to a strong start, finishing second in the Alabama 200 back in March.
Christopher Tullis used his first two career Pro Late Model wins to carry him to the Show Me The Money title in 2020 at Montgomery. He scored his first win at Montgomery in June following a late battle with Jake Garcia and Giovanni Bromante, then returned to victory lane in September following a dominating effort. He heads into Saturday’s race at Montgomery as the series points leader after winning the Alabama 200.
Dylan Fetcho also won his first-career Pro Late Model race last season, doing so during a weekly show at Nashville in October. While that would be his only win at the historic facility, he rode a wave of consistency and a third-place result in the finale to beat Cole Williams by mere points for the championship. As of now, he is planning a run at the Allen Turner PLM title.
Brandon Brilliant took his first two career Pro Late Model wins back-to-back at Crisp Motorsports Park to start off the 2020 season and he never looked back on his way to the track championship at the Georgia oval. He’s already gotten the 2021 year off to a strong start with a third-place run in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour special at Crisp last month.
Four Pro Late Model track champions from the 2020 season will be competing at both Five Flags Speedway and Montgomery Motor Speedway this weekend.
The weekend doubleheader begins at Five Flags Speedway and the Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series opener. Racing is slated to start at 8:00CT with Sportsmen and Pure Stocks also joining the night’s card.
Pro Late Model teams then head to Montgomery Motor Speedway for race two of the Show Me The Money Series slate Saturday night, where they will be joined by Late Model Sportsman and Outlaw Late Models. The first green flag is expected to drop at around 7:00CT Saturday night.
