Florida-Alabama Double on Tap for Pro Late Models

Pro Late Model competition in the Southeast continues with a doubleheader between two of the region’s premier track series.  The Allen Turner Pro Late Models kick off their 2021 season next Friday night, April 30 at Five Flags Speedway, while the Show Me The Money Series returns to Montgomery Motor Speedway for their second race of the year on Saturday, May 1.

It all starts off in Pensacola, Florida for the first Late Model race of the year at Five Flags Speedway.  Racing is slated to begin at 8:00 p.m. CT and will be highlighted by the 100-lap Allen Turner Pro Late Model feature.  Sportsmen and Pure Stocks will also join the card as they continue their points battles.

Just one day later, Pro Late Model teams will then head two hours north to Montgomery Motor Speedway for race two of the Show Me The Money Series season.  The Spring Explosion 100 will see drivers take to the big half-mile for 100 laps Saturday night.  Late Model Sportsman and Outlaw Late Models will also make appearances Saturday.

For the Allen Turner Pro Late Models, Chris Davidson goes into Friday night as the defending series champion off the back of his first Five Flags Speedway win in last year’s season opener.  Matt Craig swept twin races in August, while Connor Okrzesik capped off the year with the win in an exciting finish with Jake Finch.

The Alabama 200 kicked off Pro Late Model racing in the region back in March, with defending Show Me The Money Series champion Christopher Tullis making a late charge with fresh tires to take the biggest win of his career to date.  He returns to Montgomery looking to go back-to-back to start his title defense.

This is the third year the two tracks have joined forces for a doubleheader weekend.  Bubba Pollard (Five Flags) and Colby Howard (Montgomery) took wins in 2019, while Davidson (Five Flags) and Tullis (Montgomery) scored victories last year.
