Antigonish, NS – John Flemming went from the back of the field on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway to the front to win the Lucas Oil 150. Flemming, who won the Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials with a 14.272 second lap earlier in the day, developed transmission related issues off the grid and had to come down pit road to get service on his car, relegating him to the rear from his third place starting spot. Flemming took the lead on lap 115 from Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) and never looked back, taking his second win of the season. Turple ended the night in second, followed by King Freight Dash winner Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE). Hometown favorite Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) bested Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) to take the fourth place spot in the 21 car field.

Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) started second on the field and grabbed the lead by the end of the first lap in the Lucas Oil 150. Butcher would pace the first 108 laps of the event before spinning off turn four as he tried to lap the ninth place car. The Linde Most Laps Led winner for the Lucas Oil 150 would finish eighth on the evening. Slaunwhite and George Koszkulics (New Glasgow, NS) took Dartmouth Dodge heat wins, while Daryl Mahar (Hubley, NS) captured the Exide Batteries Hard Charger Award.

The Napa Sportsman Series kicked off the show with the Highland Home Building Centers 75 prior to the Lucas Oil 150. Dale Richardson came home first, Corey Breen and Jerry Hayes rounded out the podium.
