FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder Kicks Off This Weekend

A summer staple of Speed51.TV gets underway this weekend, as FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder returns starting with a massive doubleheader weekend for the Blizzard Series at Five Flags Speedway.

Nearly 30 short track racing events will be broadcast as part of the FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder Series, with a wide variety of racing on display.

The FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder Series will spotlight nearly 30 racing events at 17 different tracks in nine states.

The series kicks off this weekend with a marquee Super Late Model doubleheader.  A star-studded group of drivers, headlined by Richard Petty Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series competitor Erik Jones, will be at Five Flags Speedway for the Friday-Saturday twinbill, with a potential $40,000 up for grabs for a team.

The Summer Thunder Series will show off Late Models on both pavement and dirt racing on July 31.  The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series heads to Sumter Speedway for a Dirt Late Model showcase.  Meanwhile, the Show Me The Money Pro Late Models will be back in action at Montgomery Motor Speedway.

August kicks off with some of the fastest short track machines in the land, as the ISMA Supermodifieds head to Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire on Friday, August 6.  The following day, TUNDRA Super Late Models head to State Park Speedway in Wisconsin for Round Four of their 2021 season.

The next round of the Outlaw Open Modified Series at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park will take place on August 11 as part of the FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder Series, a mid-week treat for race fans.  The following weekend, the Summer Thunder Series will bring two Dirt Late Model events from South Carolina (Carolina Clash at Cherokee and FUEL Late Models at Lake View) as well as another step towards the Oxford 250 as the PASS Super Late Models head to Oxford Plains.

August 20-22 will see a little bit of everything, with Allen Turner Pro Late Models at Five Flags Speedway, NEMA Midgets at Wiscasset Speedway and the FASTRAK Racing Series’ “Prelude to the World Championship” at Virginia Motor Speedway will all be a part of Summer Thunder Series programming that weekend.

August 28 sees the return of the SMART Modified Tour as part of FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder, as the ground pounders head to Dillon Motor Speedway.  Speed51.TV will also broadcast Super Late Models from Citrus County Speedway as part of the weekend’s action.

As the calendar rolls into September, Labor Day weekend will be a big one for FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder.  FASTRAK Racing Series action at Tyler County Speedway, Granite State Pro Stocks at Monadnock Speedway, Street Stocks at Lake View Motor Speedway and the Boss Hogg 150 at Wiscasset Speedway will all be part of the holiday programming.

September 10-11 sees three events for the FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder Series.  The weekend starts with the Freedom 300 at Lee USA Speedway on September 10, followed by the Dixie Classic at Birch Run Speedway and Super Late Models at Oxford Plains on September 11.

September 15-19 will have plenty of Modified racing on the FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder Series.  The Outlaw Open Modifieds will once again be in action at Thompson, with the SMART Modifieds taking the track at Dominion Raceway on September 18 and the Modified Racing Series tackling Star Speedway on September 19.  That weekend will also see the biggest event of the season for the FASTRAK Racing Series, the FASTRAK World Championship at Virginia Motor Speedway.

FK Rod Ends Summer Thunder wraps up on September 25 and 26 with the Show Me the Money Pro Late Model Series at Montgomery Motor Speedway and the Four-Cylinder Nationals at Star Speedway.
