Rising to the challenge is what separates a top-notch driver from the rest of the pack. Whether it’s dominating a race, going on a winning streak or sealing a win with a late-race pass, drivers slowly rise to the top of the field and make a name for themselves.
That’s why the FK Rod Ends, who has nearly 10,000 combinations of rod ends and spherical bearings available and carefully crafts their products, is proud to honor a monthly “Team FK Driver of the Month” from the short track ranks of America on Speed51.com. Each month, an esteemed panel of short track industry insiders will vote on which driver had the most success on the track. The driver with the most votes will then be the “Team FK Driver of the Month” and will receive a $25 product certificate to use at FK Rod Ends. At the end of the 2019 season, the driver that received the most votes throughout the season will then be the “Team FK Driver of the Year” and will be awarded a (to be determined) prize from FK Rod Ends. The winner of the “Team FK Driver of the Month” for the month of November is…
Late Model Stock Cars & Super Late Models
After scoring the biggest win of his career at Martinsville Speedway in October, Josh Berry was not done adding to his success in 2019. Not only would he keep the winning momentum he had possessed most of the year, but he would even go on to add another career-first achievement to his resume.
On the Late Model Stock side, Berry and the No. 88 JR Motorsports team notched off the last CARS Tour race of the season at South Boston Speedway (VA) on November 2. The SoBo triumph was the team’s fourth CARS win of 2019 and fifth overall.
One week later, Berry made a rare Super Late Model appearance at Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) on North-South Shootout weekend, driving for the No. 57 for DLP Motorsports. After being nearly eliminated in the opening laps with transmission problems, Berry put on a comeback for the ages.
Storming through the field over the middle of the 150-lap race, Berry took over and marched away with the lead over the final laps to take the victory. His sixth overall win of 2019 would be his first ever behind the wheel of a Super Late Model, turning many heads across the racing world.
For backing up a major career win and coming through with another major milestone, Speed51 has named Josh Berry the FK Rod Ends Driver of the Month for November,
Other drivers receiving votes this month were Matt Hirschman, Tyler Courtney, Brady Bacon and Kyle Larson.
