Five Flags Finales Postponed to Sunday Due to Rain

After persistent rain hit Pensacola, Florida on Saturday night, Five Flags Speedway officials were forced to postpone Night of Champions #2 featuring the Blizzard Series and Allen Turner Pro Late Model to Sunday afternoon.

Super Late Model qualifying was nearing its conclusion when rain first came over the speedway.  Hudson Halder had set the fastest lap early in the session over NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Busch and local favorite Logan Boyett.  Bubba Pollard and Hunter Robbins had yet to qualify for the Blizzard Series.

Pro Late Models had also not participated in their qualifying session.

With Saturday night’s postponement, Busch will be unable to compete in the Blizzard Series finale due to his NASCAR obligations at Texas Motor Speedway.

Blizzard Series qualifying will resume at 12:15 p.m. CT Sunday afternoon with Pollard and Robbins, followed by Allen Turner Pro Late Model qualifying at 12:30.  Feature racing will begin at 1:00.

Anyone who has already purchased a pay-per-view ticket for the event will be able to watch tomorrow’s event.  Click here to purchase your video ticket if you haven’t already.
