We’ve enjoyed our first look at the entry list for the 53^rd Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway, and even saw an update to the list which included some high-profile drivers joining the fray.  Now, we get our first look at the entry list for the Allen Turner Snowflake 100, a prestigious event in its own right for Pro Late Model competitors.

A total of 36 drivers have already submitted their entries for the 100-lap Pro Late Model showcase on the eve of the Snowball Derby.  Among them are some of the top Late Model racers in the country, as well as some intriguing names fans will be keeping an eye on.

The entry list is headlined by two former Snowflake 100 winners, defending race winner Derek Thorn and two-time Snowflake winner Bubba Pollard.  While Augie Grill will not be racing in the event, the three-time Snowflake winner’s signature No. 112 will be piloted by Grant Thompson, who nearly won the Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series championship this year.

Texas’ Chris Davidson claimed that championship by four points over Thompson this year, and hopes to close out the season with a Snowflake 100 victory.  The Allen Turner Pro Late Model finale came down to a thrilling finish between Connor Okrzesik and Jake Finch, and both of those drivers will be a part of the Snowflake 100 as well.

Two other former Allen Turner Pro Late Model champions are also entered in the Snowflake 100 field.  Two-time Allen Turner champion and Snowball Derby winner Johanna Long will once again compete in the Snowflake 100, as well as 2015 Allen Turner Pro Late Model champion Ryan Luza.  Luza is coming off a win in the Prelude to the Governor’s Cup at New Smyrna Speedway in his first time behind the wheel of a Pro Late Model in five years.

Plenty of other standouts from the Super Late Model world will also be a part of the Snowflake 100, with some drivers committing to a double-duty weekend.  Drivers who have filed entries for both races include Pollard, Thorn, Okrzesik, Stephen Nasse, Matt Craig, Kyle Plott, Mason Keller, Hudson Halder and Mason Diaz.

Justin Marks will enter 2021 as a new team owner in the NASCAR Cup Series.  Before he embarks on that journey in earnest, Marks will make his first trip to the Snowball Derby weekend to compete in the Snowflake 100.

Last year’s Snowflake 100 was marked by a dramatic, fiery crash for Justin Bonnett, who suffered both burns to his hands, face and neck as well as leg injuries in the incident.  Bonnett returned to action earlier in 2020 after recovering from the incident, and will be back at this year’s Snowflake 100.
