First Look at Speed51’s Live Broadcast Schedule for January

For many racing fans, January is a bit of a lull, unable to make it to the track in the thick of winter. However, there is plenty of short track racing action in some of the warmer parts of the country, and Speed51 will broadcast several of those events for fans unable to make the trek down south.

The first broadcast of the 2019 season will come from Dillon Motor Speedway, just south of the North Carolina/South Carolina border along Interstate 95.  There, Street Stock racers from across America will convene for the New Year’s Bash.  Last year, more than 40 drivers competed for the coveted win, and a similar field is expected for the 2020 edition of the race.

Last year saw Speed51 expand its karting coverage, and January will feature some action for the karting enthusiasts.  Speed51 will broadcast the 2020 Winter Kart Nationals from East Bay Raceway Park (FL) on January 11, headlined by a $5,000-to-win Pro Stock Heavy feature.

One of the major Late Model events of the year takes place every January in the Peach State, as CRA SpeedFest kicks off the Champion Racing Association season.  The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Models and ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Models will do battle at Crisp Motorsports Park (GA) in the first marquee Late Model event of the year on January 24-25.

2019 saw the beginning of the Clash at the Coliseum at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.  What began as a one-off event last March is now a winter series, which will return to action on January 31 and February 1.

As part of Speed51’s continued coverage of the Clash at the Coliseum, we will broadcast rounds five and six of the 10-race series that weekend on the Speed51 Network.

To end the weekend on February 1, Speed51 will also showcase the 75-lap Super Late Model race at Citrus County Speedway (FL).
