The CARS Late Model Stock Tour released its first entry list for the inaugural Old North State Nationals at Orange County Speedway (NC), an event that is being touted as the richest race in Late Model Stock history.

Twenty-seven competitors have already filed their entries for the $30,000-to-win event at the 0.375-mile oval in Rougemont, North Carolina on April 7, including some of the top drivers in Late Model Stock Car Racing.

While four-time NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Champion Lee Pulliam did not return for a full sophomore season on the CARS Tour, he is on the initial entry list in his familiar No. 5 machine fielded by owner Eddie Kiker.

Pulliam has also entered as a car owner, with Brandon Pierce piloting the Lee Pulliam Performance Chevrolet. Pierce won the CARS Tour season opener at Southern National Motorsports Park on Saturday, his first win since joining forces with Pulliam in the offseason.

The last three CARS Late Model Stock Tour champions are also on the entry list, with Bobby McCarty, Josh Berry, and Deac McCaskill entered for the race.  Berry and McCaskill each have a pair of wins in CARS Tour competition at Orange County.

Four-time Orange County Speedway track champion Terry Dease will defend his home turf against the CARS Tour invaders and those looking for the $30,000 payday.  Other former track champions on the entry list include Ronald Hill (2006), Stacy Puryear (2008), and Craig Moore (2013).

Other notables on the entry list include former ValleyStar Credit Union 300 winner Jason York (2008), former CARS Late Model Stock Tour winners Bradley McCaskill and Justin Carroll, and former CARS Super Late Model Tour winner Corey Heim.
