Entries have been flying into the Five Flags Speedway (FL) office for the 52nd Annual Snowball Derby, taking place on December 4-8 at the Pensacola venue. On Tuesday evening, the Super Late Model entry list of drivers competing in the crown jewel event was released exclusively on Speed51.
The first entry list features a roster of 40 drivers, representing 16 states as well as Canada.
One driver among the entries will be ensured at least a provisional starting spot in the Snowball Derby, as 2019 Deep South Crane Blizzard Series champion Giovanni Bromante is entered for the event.
Representing the state of Georgia on the entry list is Bubba Pollard, Chandler Smith, Kyle Plott and Corey Heim, all drivers who could have a shot at capturing the Tom Dawson Trophy.
Florida will be well-represented with drivers hoping to win the Snowball Derby in their home state. Florida natives on the initial entry list include Winchester 400 winner Stephen Nasse, Blizzard Series finale winner Jesse Dutilly, Hart to Heart 100 winner Jeff Choquette, Hunter Robbins, Anthony Sergi, Jett Noland and Kyle Bryant.
Several Midwestern standouts will be making the trip to Pensacola for the Snowball Derby. Ty Majeski could be seeking his 100th career win at the 52nd Snowball Derby. Redbud 400 winner Johnny VanDoorn, Milwaukee Mile winner Austin Nason, Dan Fredrickson, Jack Dossey, III., John DeAngelis, Dalton Zehr, Boris Jurkovic and Tim Curry are also among those from the Midwest.
The Lone Star State of Texas features four drivers on the entry list. Chris Davidson, Kaden Honeycutt, Joe Aramendia and A.J. Wernette will represent Texas in the Snowball Derby.
The West Coast will be represented by a handful of strong drivers, including Washington legend Garrett Evans, Jeremy Doss in his return to Super Late Model competition, and multi-time SRL champion Derek Thorn.
Former NASCAR Cup driver David Gilliland will be making his Snowball Derby debut, while Taylor is entered as well after driving for DGR-Crosley during the 2019 season on the CARS Late Model Stock Tour.
Speaking of the CARS Tour, newly crowned CARS Super Late Model Tour champion Matt Craig will also be making his Snowball Derby debut, leading a North Carolina contingency which also includes 2018 Snowball Derby pole-sitter Harrison Burton and Lucas Jones.
Other notables on the entry list include New Hampshire’s Derek Griffith, CRA SpeedFest winner Connor Okrzesik, 2017 Snowball Derby polesitter Preston Peltier, Canada’s Cole Butcher and Oklahoma’s Donnie Wilson.

Racing begins on Thursday, December 5, with the WCIParts.com Pro Trucks, the Dock of Pensacola Beach Sportsmen and the Lloyd’s Glass Pure Stocks competing in their Snowball Derby feature events after the first rounds of practice for Super Late Model and Pro Late Model teams.
Friday, December 6 presents one of the most dramatic and intense days in short track racing, with Snowball Derby teams competing for a spot in Sunday’s race on Country Pleasin’ Sausage Pole Night. The Modifieds of Mayhem Tour 75-lap season finale follows qualifying.
Saturday is an action-packed day of racing, featuring the Snowball Derby last chance race, the Allen Turner Snowflake 100 for Pro Late Models and a 50-lap feature for the Faith Chapel Outlaws.
Finally, Sunday, December 8 brings the most prestigious event in Super Late Model racing, the Snowball Derby. Pre-race festivities begin at noon, with driver introductions at 1:15 p.m. At 2:00 p.m., the Snowball Derby begins, starting the 300-lap battle to see who will join the record books as a winner of the marquee event.
