Chad Finley and John Hunter Nemechek led the way in qualifying for the 2014 edition of the CRA Racing Fall Brawl at Lucas Oil Raceway in Clermont, Indiana. Finley set the fast time in the ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by JEGS and Nemechek was the fastest in JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour qualifying for Sunday’s main events.

Finley set a time of 21.740 second around the half-mile oval, beating out Nemechek by 0.010 seconds for the fast qualifier award. Ross Kenseth was third with a 21.798 with Brian Campbell in fourth with a 21.903. Daniel Hemric rounded out the top five with a 21.906.

Finley drew a nine for the invert in tomorrow’s 100-lap event. Spencer Wauter and Rick Turner will start on the front row.

Nemechek did get the fast time for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour with a time of 21.878. Finley was second quick with a 22.148. Corey Deuser was third with a 22.214 and Tristan Van Wieringen was fourth with a 22.230. Kyle Jones as fifth with a 22.243.

Nemechek drew a six for the invert. Mike Bursley and Kyle Jones will lead the field to the green flag for their 100-lap event on Sunday afternoon.

Shawn Amor was the fastest qualifier in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series. Amor had a fast time of 23.562. Trey Craig was second with a 23.627 and Quinton Bear was third with a 23.734. Billy VanMeter was fourth with a 23.750 and Jason Atkinson rounded out the top five with a 23.800.

In the CRA Street Stocks, Jeff Lane was the fast qualifier with a 26.349. Jason Atkinson was second with a 26.613 and Jimmy Kirby was third with a 26.724. Jason Thompson was fourth with a 26.762 and Roger Williams rounded out the top five with a 26.821.

Dan Irvine set the pace in Vores FWD Compacts with a fast time of 28.150. Don Gallaher was second with a 28.409 and Beau Crawford was third with a 28.472.

Sunday’s schedule has the pits opening at 9:00am with the drivers meeting at 11:00am. Warm-up session will start at 11:45am with racing underway at 1:00pm.

The CRA Late Model Sportsman Series will have a 40-lap feature followed by the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour 100. The Vores FWD Compacts will have a 30-lap feature. The ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by JEGS 100 and the CRA Street Stocks 40 will round out the afternoon of racing at Lucas Oil Raceway.

Finley & Nemechek Set Fast Times at CRA’s Fall Brawl
