FASTRAK Opens 2021 Season Saturday at Tyler County

The FASTRAK Racing Series kicks off its 18th season of racing Saturday at Tyler County Speedway with the Great American Crate Race.  It will be the start of an action-packed season for the Dirt Late Model touring series.

The Great American Crate Race will be the first of 25 events for the FASTRAK Racing Series, with races in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia currently on the schedule.  Several events have details and venues currently listed as “to be determined” and will be added to the schedule after details are finalized for those races.

The 18th season of the FASTRAK Racing Series kicks off Saturday, April 24 with “The Great American Crate Race” at Tyler County Speedway.

This will be a considerable step up from last year, when the FASTRAK Racing Series schedule was ravaged by factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the ever-present threat of inclement weather.  In all, four points-paying races are reflected in the FASTRAK final standings for 2020, with Matt Long credited as series champion.

The Great American Crate Race will be part of a busy kickoff to the FASTRAK Racing Series season.  Following the April 24 event at Tyler County Speedway, FASTRAK will race on May 1 before taking part in the King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway on May 14-15, as well as two more races on Memorial Day Weekend.

The season will conclude with a busy and lucrative month of October, as there are six consecutive races paying $5,000-to-win from September 25 to October 30.  Among those races will be trips to Richmond Raceway (KY), Friendship Motor Speedway, Toccoa Raceway and Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex.

The crown jewel of the FASTRAK Racing Series season will once again be the FASTRAK World Championship at Virginia Motor Speedway.  That event, along with the entirety of the racing schedule for Virginia Motor Speedway, were lost in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The event returns in 2021, looking to build on its 2019 success when more than 100 cars took part in the race.

The FASTRAK Racing Series returns to The Dirt Track at Charlotte on June 18-19 as part of Late Model Mania.  The weekend marks the first-ever trip for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series to Charlotte, as well as the first FASTRAK Racing Series event at the track since 2014, when Jonathan Davenport scored the win.

This will be the 18th season of the FASTRAK Racing Series.  Along with Matt Long, recent champions include Carson Ferguson, Matthew Nance, Benji Hicks and Cla Knight.

There are 11 dates on the FASTRAK schedule with details to be announced.  Stay tuned to fastrakracing.com, FASTRAK’s social media platforms and Speed51 for more details on those events as they become available.
