Notes: Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch will be making his first career at start at Thunder Road on Thursday.  Busch’s last start in an ACT-type Late Model came during the 2011 Oxford 250, a race which he won. Vermont Governor Phil Scott is also expected to compete in the race after picking up a Late Model win last Thursday at Thunder Road.  The State of Vermont will be well represented in the race with Hinesburg’s Bobby Therrien and Barre’s own Jason Corliss among the favorites. Nick Sweet and Robbie Crouch each have three wins in the Vermont Governor’s Cup. Sweet will not be racing Thursday but will be busy in the pits working on cars for Eric Chase and Kyle Busch. Only two former winners, Cody Blake and Scott Dragon, are expected to enter the race, opening the door for a first-time winner.
