Fast Facts: This year’s Mason-Dixon MegaMeltdown has received a boost in the form of a larger purse and more laps.  Super Late Model stars from both north and south of the Mason-Dixon Line will be tested with 300 laps around the famed Hickory Motor Speedway.  With the PASS North season over, a large number of teams will end their season by making the trip south to battle their southern counterparts. PASS North champion Travis Benjamin and current PASS South points leader Matt Craig will lead the charge for their respective regions.  Ben Rowe will be making the trip and will attempt to lock up his fifth career PASS National Championship. The West Coast will also be represented in the form of Northwest racing legend Garrett Evans. Although the strength of the field is spectacular, one of the more impressive aspects of this race is how it is attracting weekly drivers like TJ Brackett and Dennis Spencer, Jr., both who race weekly at Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine and normally don’t do a lot of traveling. The top 20 will be set by time trials with consis and the last chance race qualifying 11 more drivers to the feature.  There will be two PASS North, two PASS South and one PASS National provisional awarded. Teams will be allowed 10 tires for the race with a maximum of six allowed in their pit stall during the 300-lap race.
