Notes: The Winchester 400 is considered to be one of Super Late Model racing’s crown jewel events.  At 400 laps in distance, the race proves to be a true test for both man and machine.  This year’s race is a 12-tire race.  The race will once again use the controlled cautions format that ensures drivers will not lose positions on pit road amongst the cars they pit with.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Noah Gragson won the race and climbed the fence at Winchester one year ago, but he will not return this weekend due to his NCWTS obligations at Talladega Superspeedway. Fellow Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Raphael Lessard will look to add another big win to his resume after winning the Redbud 400 and the Short Track U.S. Nationals at Bristol already this year. Harrison Burton will return to Winchester this weekend looking for redemption after giving up the lead with five laps to go in last year’s race.  Florida Late Model star Jeff Choquette will be making his first appearance at the Winchester 400 since 2012.  After finishing second in his bid for back-to-back Winchester 400 wins last year, Travis Braden will strap back in behind the wheel of a Super Late Model for the chance at another Winchester rifle. Just two weeks after nearly winning the Martinsville 300 in a Late Model Stock Car, youngster Corey Heim will make his Winchester 400 debut this weekend. While many drivers will be chasing a big victory on Sunday, four drivers — Josh Brock, Austin Kunert, Hunter Jack and Jon Beach — will be competing for the 2018 ARCA/CRA Super Series championship.

In addition to the 400-lap main event for the Super Late Models, the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Model will be in action Friday night.  Mason Keller, Jack Dossey III, Michael Clancy Jr. and Mandy Chick enter the season finale with a shot at winning the 2018 championship.
