Notes: The Oxford 250 is considered by many to be the biggest one-day show in Super Late Model racing. Seven former winners are currently entered for this year’s version of the race. This year’s race will be nationally televised on a tape-delayed basis on MAVTV for the first time ever. Nine-time Oxford Plains Speedway champion Jeff Taylor will be making his first start of the year in hopes of winning his first Oxford 250. After a year-long journey battling back from a health issue, Wayne Helliwell, Jr. is set to defend his title this weekend. Derek Kneeland, the NASCAR Cup Series spotter for Kyle Larson, will be competing in the race during NASCAR’s off weekend. On that same note, Brad Keselowski Racing engineer Ben Lynch will also be racing.  TJ Brackett took over the Super Late Model points lead at Oxford last week and as a result, will have a provisional for Sunday’s race if needed. Jay Fogleman will make a rare start behind the wheel in hopes of bringing an Oxford 250 win back to North Carolina. Beech Ridge Motor Speedway drivers Reid Lanpher and Curtis Gerry will be skipping Saturday’s practice at Oxford in order to battle for a championship at their home track.
