Fast Facts: The Rattler 250 will once again serve as the season-opening race for the Southern Super Series. The race is 250 laps and caution laps count towards the total.  It is a 10-tire race with four on each race car and six in the pits. There must be five green flag laps (doesn't have to be consecutive) after lap 245 to finish the race.

Defending race winner Harrison Burton will take advantage of an off-weekend from the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series to defend his win from one year ago. Ty Majeski, who won The Rattler in 2016 and 2017, will make his return to South Alabama Speedway after a one-year hiatus.  Casey Roderick, the winner of the 2014 Rattler 250, will begin his Southern Super Series championship defense this weekend. Bubba Pollard, who picked up a $10,000 CARS Tour win last weekend at Southern National (NC), recent Alabama 200 winner Augie Grill, and Fury mastermind Jeff Fultz join the list of former Rattler winners who are entered for this year's race.

In addition to the return of Ty Majeski, the Midwest region will be well represented with a handful of drivers making their Rattler debuts.  2018 ARCA/CRA Super Series champion Josh Brock leads the charge.  He'll be joined by two-time JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour champion Jack Dossey III and Midwest Tour championship contender Austin Nason.

Jett Noland, who has teamed with Jett Motorsports, will begin his rookie season with the Southern Super Series at The Rattler.  Anthony Campi Racing driver Giovanni Bromante will make his Super Late Model debut after recovering from a back injury that ended his 2018 season early.
