Fast Facts: The Rattler 250 will serve as the season opener for the 2018 Southern Super Series season. The race is 250 laps and caution laps count towards the total.  It is a 10-tire race with four on each race car and six in the pits. There must be five green flag laps (doesn’t have to be consecutive) after lap 245 to finish the race. Two-time defending race winner Ty Majeski is not currently entered for the race.  Former race winners entered include Casey Roderick, Bubba Pollard and Augie Grill. Pollard will be making his first start since one of his cars was destroyed in a vicious crash at Greenville-Pickens Speedway (SC). After a hot start to the year at SpeedFest and the World Series at New Smyrna Speedway, Harrison Burton will be looking to win his first Rattler following a runner-up finish one year ago. The Rattler will be a family affair for the Plott family, as brothers Kyle Plott and Kason Plott are both entered for the race.  The winner of the race will have an Alabama rattlesnake draped around their neck in victory lane.
