The 2020 Blizzard Series continues Friday night at Five Flags Speedway with the Summer Sizzler 75, which will be a unique event for the series. With just 75 laps in the feature race after 10-lap heat races will set the lineup, there will be movers and shakers all night long.
Race fans tuning in to Friday’s Blizzard Series event can play along on Dirt Draft, compliling a lineup of five of their favorite Super Late Model racers for a chance at cool prizes.
With Dirt Draft, fans are given $100,000 in fictional currency to assemble a roster of five drivers in an event such as tonight’s Redbud 400. Your roster then goes against those of other fans, competing for points which can be redeemed for souvenirs, event tickets, a Speed51 pay-per-view broadcast and more.
While joining Dirt Draft is as simple as clicking this link, determining who will make your starting five can be much more challenging. Here is a look at some potential names to consider as you fill out your roster.
Twin 100 Winners at the Top: Bubba Pollard and Stephen Nasse were victorious in the Rowdy Energy Twin 100s to start the Blizzard Series, making them among the favorites in Friday’s race. However, that status comes with a hefty price tag, with both drivers pricing in at over $26,000 in Dirt Draft’s rankings.
You’ll be hard-pressed to put together a strong lineup with both drivers, and including either one will likely put you looking for a bargain value to complete your lineup. However, Pollard is a 21-time Blizzard Series winner after his victory in round two, so it might be worth it to grab the closest thing to a safe bet.
Red Hot Hocevar: Carson Hocevar’s last trip to Pensacola didn’t end how he’d hope. The Michigan driver finished fifth in the #Forever11 100 on Friday, June 26, but a practice incident sidelined him for the second night of the Rowdy Energy Twin 100s.
There’s been very little disappointment in Hocevar’s 2020, however. Along with that top five run in the Blizzard Series opener, Hocevar has won twice with the ARCA/CRA Super Series in 2020, including a win in the prestigious Redbud 400 at Anderson Speedway (IN). For just $20,800, you can try to ride Hocevar’s momentum on your Dirt Draft roster.
A Potential Steal from Tennessee: Former Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway track champion Willie Allen is sixth in Blizzard Series points after a pair of top-10 finishes in the first two races at Pensacola. However, the Tennessee native can be yours for just $18,500. He may lack the track time at Five Flags Speedway compared to some ahead of him on the rankings, but he has shown speed so far at the famed half-mile in 2020.
Don’t miss out on your chance to win prizes as part of Friday’s Summer Sizzler 75. Sign up today and watch the race on Speed51.
