eTrucks Series Night in America Returns Thursday

The first eTruck Series Night in America event was a huge success for all those involved, with top drivers from both the real-life and sim NASCAR world taking part in the charity race at the virtual Atlanta Motor Speedway. NASCAR Xfinity Series competitor Ryan Vargas is putting on another major sim racing event this Thursday, April 16 at 7p.m. ET with the eSports Rumble at Richmond Raceway, with all proceeds going toward Project Hope for coronavirus relief.

The race will be streamed live on Speed51.com and Podium eSports for free.

Thursday’s event will take place at the virtual Richmond Raceway, with big names across motorsports already having entered for the race. Among the pre-entries include 2016 Indianapolis 500 champion Alexander Rossi, current/former NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers Harrison Burton and Elliott Sadler, NHRA champion Ron Capps, Snowball Derby champion Travis Braden, Knoxville Nationals champion David Gravel, ARCA Menards Series driver Hailie Deegan, and Atlanta winner Zack Novak.

The final 20 spots for Thursday’s race will once again be decided in a series of open races on Wednesday, with over 200 drivers having entered.

This time around, drivers will be competing for an extra prize. Big Green Egg has stepped up an offered a prize pack that included a MiniMax Egg, a BGE Pop-Up Tent, and two BGE Fold-Up Chairs.

“We all were a little surprised about the success of the first event. It all really came from a half-joking tweet and snowballed into such a huge event with so many big names and people of the industry rallying behind it,” Vargas told Speed51. “Jon, Austin and I put a lot of time into this to make sure that it goes off well and I feel we’ve done a good job so far.”

“I’m really excited to partner with Richmond for this event. Their excitement for eSports is so high and I feel with their energy towards it we can make this event huge.”

All proceeds will benefit Project Hope as they continue to provide relief and fight against the COVID-19 outbreak. Learn more about Project Hope by clicking here.
