Fort Wayne, IN – Baer Field Speedway is in the midst of preparations for one of the biggest races of the season. The Panacea Powder & Ceramic Coatings Hoosier 100 for Outlaw Bodied Super Late Models is set for Wednesday, July 15th and the Entry Form is available. The one and only appearance of the 2015 racing season by the high powered wedge bodied machines to the fast 1/2 (0.500) mile semi-banked paved oval in Fort Wayne, Indiana will see the Outlaw Supers go for a $3,000 payday and $900 just to start the 100-lap main.

The heavy hitters are began filing there entries for this race and are led by three-time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion, Scott Hantz who is also the 2013 ARCA Gold Cup Series Champion. The Angola, Indiana veteran has five career victories at Baer Field in template Super Late Model competition and a multitude of wins in Outlaw Super Late Model action as well. Auburn, Indiana veteran, Brent Jack, along-with his son, 15-year-old Hunter Jack, a rookie of the year title contender in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series have both filed their entries and so has Two-Time Main Event Racing Series Champion, Bud Perry who is the first Buckeye State representative to turn in his Hoosier 100 Entry Form.
Even though this event is independently sanctioned, the Outlaw Super Late Models will be utilizing the procedures and rules from the ARCA Gold Cup Outlaw Super Late Model Series as well as the Main Event Racing Series while also incorporating Late Model Alliance rules. In addition, International Championship Auto Racing (ICAR) officials will be overseeing this event. The tires to be used for this race will be the Hoosier 3035s and 3045s. This event is a minimum four (4)-tire race. Sunoco Race Fuel will also be available at the track.
The Hoosier 100 will be 100 green flag laps as caution flag laps will not count. In Qualifying, the top 16 will be locked in with four more starters coming from the 15-lap Last Chance Race(s). There will be one Provisional reserved for the highest driver in points not locked into the show after Qualifying and the Last Chance Race(s) from the ARCA Gold Cup Series and Main Event Racing Series. Finally there will be two additional Promoters Choices added to the back of the field for 24-car starting grid.
Joining the Outlaw Super Late Models for the special midweek show will be the tracks weekly Emma Warehouse Modifieds who will also race on the 1/2 mile in a special non-points 30-lap Feature. Last but not least, the traveling stars of the Vore’s Compact Touring Series will be on hand as well to take part in their originally scheduled event from the April 25th rainout. The Fort Recovery, Ohio series will also be racing on the big 1/2 mile as they take on the cars and stars from the tracks weekly Grote Automotive Compact division.
There will be an optional Test and Tune day scheduled for the day before on Tuesday, July 14th. The Pit Gates will open at 4:00p.m., with rotating Practice going from 5:00-8:00p.m. Pit Passes will be $15.00 and Grandstands admission will be absolutely Free. For Wednesday, July 15th, the Pit Gates will be opening at 11:00a.m., a Mandatory Outlaw Super Late Model Drivers only Meeting will start at 1:30p.m. Practice begins at 2:00p.m., with Qualifying set for 4:45p.m., and Racing starting at 6:30p.m. Tickets Prices for Wednesday, July 15th are: Grandstands (16 and Over) – $20.00, Kids (10-15) $12.00, Children (9 and Under) – FREE. In addition, Pit Passes – $35.00.
Test and Tunes continue throughout the remainder of the season on Wednesday and Thursday nights with the Pit Gates opening at 4:00p.m., and Rotating Practice going from 4:00-8:00p.m. Pit Passes are $15.00 and Grandstand Admissions is Free. In addition, the BFS Drag Racing Series resumes this Friday, June 26th and continues every Friday night throughout the summer months. The Pits Gates open on Fridays at 4:00p.m., with one on one Drag Races starting at 6:00p.m. Pit Passes are $15.00 and Grandstand Admission is absolutely Free for the Drag Races.
