As the days tick off leading up to the 48th Annual Snowball Derby, entries continue to fly into the Five Flags Speedway office for all seven divisions competing during the week. Following a successful day of practice for all divisions during the IP Casino Snowball Preview, entry lists for all divisions can now be found by visiting Schaeffer’s Snowball Central on Speed51.com.
As of November 21, 68 drivers are currently entered for the granddaddy of them all, the Snowball Derby on Sunday, December 6. 21 states and one Canadian province are currently represented on the roster with teams traveling from as far west as California and as far north as Maine.
Coincidentally, 68 names are also currently on the entry list for the nation’s premier Pro Late Model race, the Snowflake 100 on Saturday, December 5. A number of the competitor’s on the Snowflake 100 entry list will be attempting the weekend sweep of major Late Model events. Drivers such as John Hunter Nemechek, Chase Elliott, Derek Thorn and a host of others have intentions of pulling double-duty.
The current entry list for the exciting Modified division, which races Friday, December 4 on NASH 102.7 FM Pole Night, features the names of 27 drivers. Donnie Hamrac will attempt to make it three-in-a-row at the Snowball Derby, while Late Model ace Augie Grill will strap behind the wheel of a Modified as part of a triple-duty weekend for the Alabama driver.
Another driver pulling triple-duty on the weekend will be Late Model star Bubba Pollard, as his name is currently entered on the Snowball, Snowflake and Pro Truck entry lists. Pollard’s name is currently one of 17 on the entry list for the 50-lap Pro Truck feature Saturday night.

The 48th Annual Snowball Derby weekend kicks off with the Cat Country/WEAR-TV3 Green Flag Party on Wednesday, December 2. On-track activities start Thursday, December 3, for the opening practice rounds for the Snowball Derby Super Late Models and Snowflake 100 Pro Late Models. The Five Flags Butler U-Pull-It Bombers and Beef ‘O’Brady’s Sportsman divisions will also have feature events on Snowball Derby Thursday.
The top Snowball Derby starting spots will be set on Friday, December 4 during WXBM 102.7 Pole Night at Five Flags. The Five Flags Faith Chapel Super Stocks and Modifieds will also battle in their Snowball Derby features after Super Late Model qualifying.
The Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100 takes center stage on Saturday, December 5 as the top Pro Late Model racers in the country qualify and battle for 100 laps at Five Flags. In addition, Saturday’s action features the final 50-lap qualifying event for Snowball Derby drivers to make one last effort to qualify for the 300-lap Super Late Model race. The Better Built Tool Box Pro Trucks will also have a 50-lap feature on Snowball Derby Saturday.
Then on Sunday, December 6, the green flag will drop on the 48th Annual Snowball Derby at 2 p.m. CT at Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway.
Fans unable to make it to Pensacola, Florida for the Snowball Derby can watch all of the action through a live online TV style pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51 TV.
