Enfinger & Go Fas Racing Replacing Engine Ahead of Snowball Derby

While most of the teams locked into Sunday’s Snowball Derby were able to relax after Saturday’s final practice session, Grant Enfinger and Go Fas Racing had to go to work to replace an engine.

The team blew a motor in the final minutes of the hour-long session early Saturday afternoon.  They immediately went to work to replace the expired motor ahead of tomorrow, borrowing a speed plant from fellow Derby competitor Bubba Pollard.

“We just popped a motor there in the last few minutes of practice.  I’m not sure what caused it, there was no indication or anything like that,” Enfinger told Speed51.  “Bubba Pollard had another Hamner sealed engine so we’re borrowing one from him.”

After timing in 17th during Country Pleasin’ Sausage Pole Night Friday, Enfinger was 29th in final practice Sunday was a lap time of 17.158.  He is set to make his 13th start in the Snowball Derby Sunday afternoon, with runner-up finishes in 2008 and 2013 to his credit.

Former Winchester 400 and All American 400 winner Boris Jurkovic paced the final session with a 16.858.  Two Last Chance Race competitors were in the top-five during the session, with Hudson Halder and Chase Elliott in third and fourth.
