Six races and 380 laps of feature racing action will highlight the 2016 World Stock Car Festival on the high banks of Winchester Speedway (IN) on Labor Day Weekend. The annual event brings together many of the top touring series in the Midwest region for a Short Track Racing spectacle at one of the most exciting race tracks in the entire nation.
Racing fans unable to make it to Winchester will be able to watch all of the action including qualifying and qualifying heats via a live video stream on Speed51.com.
Headlining the event, which takes place on Sunday and Monday, will be the 100-lap ARCA/CRA Super Series race on Monday, September 5.
Many of the country’s top Super Late Model stars are entered for the race including CRA points leader Cody Coughlin, Southern Super Series points leader Donnie Wilson, Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Todd Gilliland and Florida racer Dalton Sargeant.
In his quest for both the ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour championships, Coughlin will also enter the JEGS Tour portion of the event. He will be joined by fellow double-duty driver Zane Smith, West Virginia’s Travis Braden and defending JEGS Tour champion Dan Leeck among others.
Joining the JEGS Tour on Sunday afternoon will be a 20-lap feature for the Vores Compact Touring Series.
The Labor Day racing program will kick off on Monday with a 20-lap feature for the Thunder Roadsters. They will be joined by the CRA Late Model Sportsman (40 laps), ICAR Top Speed Modifieds (40 laps), Outlaw Vores Compact Touring Series (20 laps) and the always-entertaining CRA Street Stocks (40 laps).
With everything combined, the World Stock Car Festival creates a must-see racing program for racing enthusiasts. Cook up a few burgers and hot dogs on Labor Day Weekend, and then get comfortable for two jam-packed days of racing on Speed51.com.
