So far in 2016, Chris Eggleston has only finished outside the top five in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West one time.  He owns a pair of wins and claimed his first career pole award last race at Stateline Speedway.  This Saturday the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East joins up with the K&N West for their first, and only, combined event of the year at Iowa Speedway.

While Eggleston has logged a lot of laps at Iowa Speedway, the track hasn’t always been kind to the Erie, Colorado driver.  He managed 15th and 16th-place finishes at the track in 2015, however his former teammate, Brandon McReynolds, swept the Iowa events.  This year McReynold’s former crew chief hops on top of Eggleton’s pit box and the two hope to get things turned around and ride his current momentum.

“I am really looking forward to getting back to Iowa speedway,” said Eggleston.  “After the first time I ran there back in 2009 with the ASA tour, we led the most laps that race in a stacked field, and when we came in to pit, I think we over adjusted on the car and faded to finish fourth that race.  However, after that race, we haven’t seemed to have any luck there and have struggled there ever since.  However, I feel like my crew chief Ty Joiner and I really have our act together and have really been fast everywhere we have gone.  Ty, being Brandon McRynolds crew chief last year and sweeping both Iowa races, I am really looking forward to getting back there.”
