In more than three seasons as the Short Track Market Manager for JRi Shocks, Brannon Earnest helped some of the top names in short track racing rack up countless wins and championships.

Now, through his newly-formed and Mooresville, North Carolina-based Earnest Performance, Earnest plans to continue that line of success in the short track shock industry.

“My primary focus will be on the Super Late Model stuff as a dealer for JRi, but I’ll still do Modifieds and Late Model Stock shocks and be available for all the help customers may need at the racetrack,” said Earnest.  “I’ll be on my own doing my work and JRi has hired someone to replace me at their office, so I think the coverage for JRi customers will actually be greater.”

Earnest Performance offers a full-service in-house shock program, from sales to service to at-track advising.

“We can do anything JRi shock-wise, whether service, repairs, sales or particular valving for certain racetracks.  Then obviously the bump stop stuff comes into play and that’s a big part of it.  I have my own shop that’s fully equipped and I am available for more personal service as far as private testing and development of shock setups.”

At JRi, Earnest developed and fine-tuned shock packages for drivers such as Kalamazoo Klash winner Terry Senneker, Jr., NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour winners Ryan Preece and Justin Bonsignore and two-time NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Champion Lee Pulliam.  Through Earnest Performance, plans are already in motion to build on the standard of success he has already established.

“Whether direct customers or mostly direct customers, we’ve won three CRA Super Series championships, an ARCA Midwest Tour championship, two NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championships, a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship, two Main Event Outlaw Late Model championships, three Kalamazoo Klash wins, four years in a row we’ve won the big Late Model race at Martinsville, Redbud 300, and we were a part of Daniel Hemric’s Southern Super Series championship.

“It’s just been a tremendous three years.  Realistically I’ve only been around three or four years. I’m pretty fortunate to be a part of all that success.”
