Summer 2020 at Five Flags Speedway has been a hectic one and it’s still far from over as the Pro Late Models of the Allen Turner Hyundai Series return to action this Friday, August 28. The anticipation has also been doubled, as the Pro Late Models will be dealing out double thunder with double the features.
In an effort to complete the make-up of racing that was postponed during the worldwide shutdown in the early spring, the Pro Late Model teams are doubling down Friday night with a pair of 75-lap features.
All the way back on June 5, the Texan who had spent two decades vying for a win on the Pensacola oval finally got the job done. But the path to a possible title for Chris Davidson is going to be treacherous one, as the likes of Ryan Paul, Jake Garcia, Daniel Dye, and plenty more will look to capitalize on a possible two-in-one opportunity.
While the Allen Turner Hyundai Pro Late Models will lead off the night’s feature lineup with their first 75-lap event, the Dock on Pensacola Beach Sportsmen will be second in the order with a 25-lap feature, followed by the Lloyd’s Glass Pure Stocks for 20 laps. The night then comes full circle, with the Pro Late Models rounding things out with the evening’s second 75-lap feature race.
Cars will first roll at 4pm CT with a one-hour Pro Late Model practice, followed by practice and group qualifying for Sportsmen and Pure Stocks from 5:30 to 6:30. Pro Late Model qualifying gets the go at 7pm, with prerace ceremonies at 7:45, all leading up to an 8pm post time for the night’s racing.
