ROSSBURG, Ohio — Eldora Speedway and DirtonDirt.com will once again team up to offer a live pay-per-view broadcast of the famed track’s Dirt Late Model Dream presented by Ferris Mowers on Thursday–Friday–Saturday, June 4-5-6, giving fans around the world an opportunity to watch the entirety of the three-night motorsports extravaganza’s 21st running.
Fans unable to attend the blockbuster Dream weekend in person can still watch all the action live online at EldoraSpeedway.com or DirtonDirt.com by purchasing a pay-per-view package for each night of competition. The coverage includes two complete racing programs on Thurs., June 4, headlined by a pair of 25-lap, $2,500-to-win features; two more full racing cards on Fri., June 5, topped by twin 25-lap features paying $5,000 to win; and the grand finale on Sat., June 6, featuring heats, consolations and the prestigious 100-lap Dirt Late Model Dream that boasts a gargantuan $100,000 first-place prize.
Joining forces for the second consecutive year, Eldora Speedway’s Manager of Promotions and New Media, Jonathan Bateman, and DirtonDirt.com’s co-founder, Michael Rigsby, will oversee a specially-assembled production team that brings extensive broadcast and video experience to the project. Mike Lyons (Friday/Saturday) and Ryan Hines (Thursday) will direct the multi-camera coverage featuring cameramen Steve Gigeous, Will Gigeous, Webb Dillard, Derek Kessinger, Alex Langendorfer and J.J. Samuelson with technical assistance from Brandon Curtis (replay) and Sarah Samuelson (tech support/graphics).
Announcers Dustin Jarrett, James Essex, Shane Andrews and Ben Shelton will call the action on the broadcasts, providing fans lap-by-lap commentary and in-depth interviews with participants throughout each race night.
The third consecutive year of Dream action featuring three racing nights includes some minor changes in the format, most notable being that drivers will be divided into qualifying/heat-race groups by pill draw for the two preliminary programs. In addition, more emphasis will be placed on the Thursday and Fridaycompetition because Saturday night’s heat lineups will be determined using drivers’ average finishes from their preliminary-program finishes.
Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga., is the defending Dream champion.
