Center Lisle, NY – The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco has just three events left on its 2018 Halmar International North Region agenda.

As STSS Halmar International North Region Race No. 7 approaches on Sunday, September 23 at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, N.Y., an impressive 17 STSS Modified drivers have participated in every event. This is the strongest attendance record since the series was initiated in 2014.

Decker tops a list of ‘perfect attendance’ North Region drivers that includes Anthony Perrego, Matt Sheppard, Jerry Higbie, Mat Williamson, Mike Gular, Mike Mahaney, Ryan Godown, Duane Howard, Jeremy Smith, Rick Laubach, Nick Nye, Danny Creeden, Andy Bachetti, Brett Tonkin, J.R. The ‘regular season’ will wrap up following the Short Track SuperNationals. At that point, drivers will have the opportunity to drop their worst finish. Those with perfect attendance will receive 75 bonus points. The finale at OCFS will offer increased championship points based on a 150-point structure.
Rescheduled from Memorial Day weekend by rain to Sunday, September 23, the ‘Lightning on the Mountain’ will feature the STSS Modifieds in a 50-lap event offering $5,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $400 to take the green flag from a purse totaling more than $25,000.
This will serve as an ideal shakedown for the Short Track SuperNationals two weeks later at the three-eighths-mile oval.
