Jonathan Davenport, last season’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series National Champion, took the trophy home from Brunswick, Georgia’s very own Golden Isles Speedway. The National Defending title driver was definitely one to watch out for on the track.

Davenport’s No.6 Dirt Late Model car also picked up the preliminary overall Miller Welder’s Fast Time with a lap of 15.377 seconds around the 5/8 mile, high banked d-shaped dirt track.

Davenport also led every lap leading up to his $7,000 top prize in this LOLMDS race–conquering the event as a whole.

Getting a jump start on the previous night’s winner, Richards, he held onto the lead all the way through the checkered flag with the braking power of PFC brakes beneath his wheels.
