Matt Craig took home his first career title of PASS South Super Late Model Champion after the Mason-Dixon Meltdown at Concord Speedway.

Qualifying in second, Craig ran in the top five through most of the event. With consistency throughout the 2016 season, his sixth place finish earned him the title of PASS South Champion.

“It means a lot to me,” said Craig. “The 54 car has always won championships and won races. To do that for all of my family and everybody that has been behind this car and all of the fans, I’m proud to show how good it is to continue the legacy of it.”

Competing against some of the top racers in the series, Craig persevered to move forward with the JCR3 racing team that was founded by his father, Jeff Craig and grandfather, Jimmy Craig.
