CRA & Vores Bringing the Fun to Anderson Saturday

A fun-filled night of racing is on tap at Anderson Speedway Saturday, April 17.  Champion Racing Association’s Street Stocks and Late Model Sportsmen will join the Vore’s Compact Touring Series and USSA Mel Kenyon Midgets for an action-packed evening at the Indiana quarter-mile.

The Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks and Vore’s Welding Late Model Sportsman competitors will carry the CRA banner this weekend, joining the Compacts and Midgets.  All of this grassroots racing should provide a fun evening on the high-banked Anderson oval.

Both the CRA Street Stocks and CRA Late Model Sportsman were slated to kick off their 2021 seasons on April 11 at Kil-Kare Speedway at the Cabin Fever Championships.  However, that event was postponed due to weather, making this weekend’s race at Anderson the season kickoff for those two series.

The Vores Compact Touring Series was also slated to be part of the Cabin Fever Championships at Kil-Kare.  However, their first race of the season took place at Five Flags Speedway in February.  Kyle Frame won that event as many of the Midwestern Vores Compact drivers took advantage of the trip to warm Florida in the winter.

Practice will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday, with qualifying starting 4:30 p.m.  Heat racing begins at 6 p.m., with feature racing to follow.  The CRA Street Stocks and Late Model Sportsman have 75 lap features on tap, while the Mel Kenyon Midgets and Vores Compact Touring Series will race for 30 laps apiece.

Race fans unable to attend the race will be able to watch live on Speed51.TV.  Click here to become a subscriber today and watch Saturday’s action.
