Salem, IN — Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials and Baer Field Motorsports Park officials have announced an additional special non-points event for the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS at Baer Field Motorsports Park on the weekend following July 4th. The event will be a 60 lap $5,000 to win event on the 3/8’s mile track, as part of the huge Baer Field Motorsports Park 2019 Crown Jewel Weekend, which will feature racing action on Friday, July 5th, Saturday, July 6th and Sunday, July 7th.
“We are really excited to be a part of this great weekend of racing at Baer Field Motorsports Park,” remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner with CRA. “This will be one of the highest paying Street Stock events in the country and should bring in a stout field of competitors from all over the country to try and claim the $5,000 first place payoff and the special “Crown” Trophy being designed for the event!”
On Friday, the CRA Street Stocks will have practice and qualifying, along with qualifying heat races (6 heats of 10 lap each, top 3 from each transfer to the A Main). On Saturday, the CRA Street Stocks will have Last Chance Races and the 60 lap Main Event, which will have a minimum of 24 starters and may feature up to 32 starters.
Two other CRA Series will be in action as part of the 2019 Crown Jewel Weekend at Baer Field Motorsports Park. The Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Models will be in action on Saturday night with heats and a 25-lap feature, while the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour will be in action with a 100-lap feature on Sunday afternoon. The main event of the weekend will be the ICAR All-Star Tour 20K Showdown on Sunday, a 200 lap ICAR Modified race that will pay the winner $20,000. The 100 lap JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event will be ran in between the two 100 lap segments of the ICAR All-Star Tour 20K Showdown.
