Summer Thunder TV presented by PFC Brakes will head to New Castle, Indiana’s small 3/10-mile egg-shaped oval that is Mount Lawn Speedway for the biggest CRA Late Model Sportsman race of the season. The race will air on a tape-delayed basis on Monday, July 2ndat 8 p.m. ET.

Due to Mt. Lawn Speedway’s remote location, internet strength is very poor at the race track, which is preventing from live streaming the event.

As a result, the event will air on a tape-delayed basis. All premium members of the Speed51 Video Network will still have access to watch the event when it airs just like any other Summer Thunder TV event.

“We’re excited about the event as it’s the 45thGrand Prix,” said Mt. Lawn Speedway Operator, Rick Sweigart. “We’re also about coming here, so we’re looking forward to it.”

The Raintree 100 is the first event in the new CRA Late Model Sportsman Triple Crown Series. The race will pay $2,000 to the winner, which is one of the highest winner’s payouts in Late Model Sportsman racing.

This race comes on the heels of the most recent Late Model Sportsman event at Indiana’s Baer Field Motorsports Park. Tommy Cook took the victory last Saturday in a clean sweep of the event.

Former ARCA/CRA Super Series driver Terry Fisher Jr. finished second behind Tommy Cook. Billy Hutson finished third. Shawn Amor led the early laps of the race before fading.
