Country Pleasin’ Returns to Snowball Derby Pole Night

Qualifying night at the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway is always one of the most dramatic and tense nights in short track racing, with drivers vying for 30 starting spots in the biggest Super Late Model race in the country.  There will also be big money on the line, thanks once again to Country Pleasin’ Sausage.

Country Meat Packers, the makers of Country Pleasin’ Sausage, Spices and Sauces, have sponsored “Country Pleasin’ Sausage Pole Night” on Friday, December 4.  The pole position for the 53rd Annual Snowball Derby will pay $1,000 to the fastest qualifier.

This marks the second year Country Pleasin’ Sausage has been a part of Pole Night at the Snowball Derby after coming aboard in 2019.  Last year, Derek Thorn took home the $1,000 pole bonus with a lap of 16.277 seconds around the Pensacola, Florida half-mile.

While the big bonus will be going to the pole sitter, Snowball Derby Qualifying is highlighted by the battle to make the field for Sunday’s 300-lap showcase.  With only three possible provisionals available and four transfers from the Last Chance Qualifier, the pressure is on for racers to earn one of the 30 starting spots available during qualifying.  That challenge produces one of the most dramatic evenings of the year in short track racing.

Limited reserved tickets are still available for the 53rd Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway, but they are going fast.  To be part of the Snowball Derby, Country Pleasin’ Sausage Pole Night and much more, order your tickets now.
