Each racer that takes the green flag for the 4th Annual Winter Showdown will leave Kern County Raceway (CA) with a minimum payout of $3,000. On Wednesday, event officials announced the Coors Light / Speed51.com bonus which will ensure that all 36 drivers in the starting field receive the minimum $3,000 to start.
The 4th Annual Winter Showdown on February 3 feature a purse that would pay a minimum of $2,000 to start. However, the Coors Light / Speed51.com bonus will raise the start money an additional $1,000 for each of the 36 starters.
To be eligible for the bonus, each driver will display a Coors Light and Speed51.com decal in a specific location on the car. The decals will be provided by Coors Light, Speed51.com and SRL officials.
If for any reason the field is expanded beyond 36 cars, only the original 36 to make the race on time, transfer or provisional will be eligible for the bonus.
In addition to the $3,000 guaranteed start money, the 4th Annual SRL Winter Showdown will pay a whopping $30,000 to the winner. Racing stars such as Kyle Busch, Daniel Hemric and defending winner Derek Thorn are all entered for the big race.
Speed51.com will carry a live video stream of the race, which will be made available to Speed51 Network monthly or yearly subscribers. Subscription to the Speed51 Network can be purchased for $7.99 a month or $69.99 a year by clicking here.
