When sports fans think of “March Madness,” they often think of buzzer beaters, bracket busters and Cinderella runs. At Cherokee Speedway, it holds an entirely different meaning – and race fans can find out firsthand what it’s all about this year on Speed51.com.
Speed51 has teamed up with Cherokee Speedway to offer a live pay-per-view broadcast of March Madness at the Gaffney, South oval on Sunday, March 3. The live broadcast of the race will showcase the Dirt Late Model tradition at “The Place Your Momma Warned You About” to a worldwide audience.
Race fans will be able to purchase a live video ticket to watch the event for $24.99.
“March Madness at Cherokee Speedway always draws some of the top Dirt Late Model racers in the country,” said Speed51 Southeast Editor Zach Evans. “We are excited to bring this race to a worldwide audience and showcase the event and the great racing at Cherokee Speedway.”
2019 will mark the 17th running of March Madness. The March Madness lineup is headlined by the season opener for the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series, paying $12,000 to the winner of the main event.
In addition to a pay-per-view broadcast of Sunday’s racing, Speed51 will also be offering a live video stream of the Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series race on Saturday, March 2. That broadcast will be available to Speed51 Network monthly and yearly subscribers.
