Mooresville, NC — After monitoring the weather all week and speaking with several competitors and track officials in the area; CARS Tour officials have made the decision to postpone this weekend’s Thrifty Tire Service Centers Puryear Tank Lines 300 pres. by The Grilling Store at Orange County Speedway.

“The uncertainty of being able to get the event in, and the major factor of not having Sunday to fall back on due to expected wash out led us to make the call to postpone this weekend’s race at Orange County,” explained Series Director, Chris Ragle. “We really need to and wanted to race this weekend because, not only is Orange County the best track on the tour from a racing an fan perspective, but to reschedule an race these days without any conflicts is almost impossible. However; sometimes you just have to make a call and hope that it’s the best thing based on the information you have.”

A reschedule makeup date for the race will be announced in the coming days once time has been used to review all possible options. The CARS Tour will look to schedule around the July 22nd date set for the Mid Atlantic Classic weekend event that will feature both Late Model Stocks and a $10,000 to win Super Late Model feature race.

The CARS Tour returns to action next at Hickory Motor Speedway on Saturday May 6th in Hickory, North Carolina. Complete event information including entry forms, event schedule, and to purchase tickets for the Catawba Valley 300 is available at
