Canadian Late Model Series Approves New Five Star Body

The APC United Late Model Series announced Wednesday they have approved the new Five Star Bodies Gen-6 Late Model body for the 2020 season, joining the list of series utilizing the body in competition.

“After a historic season of racing that saw six winners in 10 events and an average car count in unheard of territory, APC Series officials are excited to unveil the highly anticipated 2020 rules package, highlighted by the approval of Five Star’s new Late Model body,” reads the APC press release.

The announcement comes as part of the release of the series’ 2020 rule book, which also highlighted other changes to specifications for the season.  The major change will be the permission of the new Late Model body.

The “ABC” body, as allowed and enforced since 2004 by the Approved Body Committee, will still be permitted for APC United Late Model Series use.

Further announcements, including the 2020 series schedule, will be expected in the coming weeks and months in the offseason.  The 2019 APC United Late Model Series season concluded on September 14 at Delaware Speedway, with J.R. Fitzpatrick winning the finale and Matt Pritiko claiming the series championship.
