Veteran Brian Campbell took advantage of sunny skies and warming temperatures Monday afternoon at Toledo Speedway, piloting his ARCA/CRA Super Series machine in preparation for the season-opening 7-Up Twin 100s Saturday afternoon, April 11. The CRA cars and ARCA Midwest Tour stock-bodied Late Models will battle in a 100 lap contest, while the other 100 lap race will be contested by the outlaw-bodied ARCA Royal Truck and Trailer Gold Cup Late Model Series. Race time is 3 p.m.

Several more entries have also arrived for the Gold Cup Series list, as reigning Flat Rock Speedway champ Steve Cronenwett Jr. and 2014 Toledo race winner Nick Bailey are now entered, along with the father and son team of Joe and Steve Hawes. Joe is a former Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway champion. They join Scott Pemberton, Frankie Jiovani and 2013 Toledo Glass City 200 winner Dennis Strickland as early entries for the opening event for the 6-race series for 2015.

Campbell has been the first driver to take laps at Toledo for several seasons. Brian won the season opener in 2012 and 2014 at Toledo for the ARCA/CRA cars and also won the 2007 Glass City 200.
