California Driver Fastest in Qualifying on World Series Night Two

The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) is an exciting part of Florida Speedweeks that attracts fans from all over the country.  On Saturday night, it was a West Coast driver setting fast time in Super Late Model qualifying

 

Jesse Love posted the fastest lap in qualifying, with a lap of 17.610 seconds. Colin Garrett was second-fastest, with Augie Grill third in a car repaired from an accident on Friday’s opening night.

 

Love is competing in the World Series for the first time, driving for Wimmer Motorsports.  Love was a rookie on the SRL Southwest Tour Series in 2019, with a top-five and three top-10s during the season.

 

Following a two-car invert, Garrett, from South Boston, Virginia, will start on the pole for the 35-lap Super Late Model feature as part of Night Two of the World Series.
