Mooresville, NC – NASCAR Modified and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East driver David Calabrese will be in the field this coming Saturday night at the Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston Salem, NC for the season opening Hayes 200 modified event driving the Hillbilly Racing No.79 owned by David and Susan Hill.


“I’m excited to be back in a modified for the first time this season and to be driving for the Hills’ has me even more anxious for Saturday”, said Calabrese.


Calabrese who has one win at Bowman Gray Stadium, which came on May 16th of last season has turned his focus to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for 2016, after suffering two motor issues In Mobile, AL during the second race of the season, he has taken some time off to regroup and plans to come back out with the K&N car on May 30th at the Dominion Raceway in Virginia.


In three seasons of competition on the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour, Calabrese has four Top-5’s and nine Top-10s in 34 career starts.
